Weather Net report tracking

Keep reports moving during a busy net.

WXNetMan shows incoming reports, assignments, operator notes, and completed work on one board. The team can check report status on screen instead of asking for another radio read-back.

During a busy net

Manual tracking gets harder as reports arrive.

Paper logs, spreadsheets, and chat threads can fall behind when reports arrive faster than one person can update them.

  1. 01Leadership cannot see report status in real time.
  2. 02Operators duplicate work or assume someone else has it.
  3. 03Critical details wait while teams sort out who owns each report.
  4. 04Closed-net records are assembled from scattered sources.

Report handling

Each report moves through three stages.

Net Control enters radio traffic. An operator takes the report and checks it. That assignee finishes it and records any delivery results.

New

Enter a field report as it arrives. It shows on the board for authorized operators to take.

Working

One operator takes the report, checks details, and adds timestamped notes. Net Managers and Net Control can follow the work.

Completed

Finish without sending, send to configured email, Slack, or Discord destinations, or note an outside partner submission. Destination results stay with the report.

During the net

Keep report details in view.

The board fits the report-handling procedures your team already uses on the air.

Live shared board

The operations team sees New, Working, and Completed reports as they move through the net.

One assignee per report

When someone takes a report, the board shows who owns it. Other operators can read it but cannot take it over.

Active-net corrections

Net Managers and Net Control can review active work, correct report details, and reassign a report when needed.

Keep logging when the link drops

If connectivity drops during a net, operators can still enter new reports. Entries stay on that device and send when service returns.

History and export

After the net closes, download a net report package with an executive brief plus communications and activity logs.

Roles

Permissions follow each person’s job in the net.

Net Manager

Configure and lead

Open and close nets, manage members, report questions, delivery destinations, and closed-net records.

Net Control

Enter traffic and supervise

Open and close the net, capture radio traffic, review active reports, and correct or reassign work when needed.

Net Operator

Check and finish

Take reports, verify details, add notes, and finish assigned work.

Agency Viewer

Stay informed

A live overview shows counts and high-priority reports for a served agency or partner, without taking reports, notes, or delivery access.
